What's a Weekend????

Got to love me!

So you think you want to know about me?!? Well that's a complicated thing. Some people think I am a very nice person, while others swear that I am satan in the flesh. Some think that I know everything, and again others treat me as a dumb blonde. I can tell you that I work 6 to 7 days a week, love my family, don't know what a weekend is or what I would do with my time if I had one. I love the country, hate stupid Orange County people, and lived in Hollywood for 3 years. I believe in God, but don't think that one religion has gotten it right. I have a tattoo and want more, I don't think that there is anything wrong with body piercing. I think that you should be able to speak and read ENGLISH in order to vote or drive in this county and if that make's me a bad person, oh well, deal with it.

Hurry Up Halloween!!!

My back yard consists of a very large covered patio, a large workshop, 3 concrete slabs, one to work on cars, one that a shed used to sit on and a small one that had a very rickety bench on it at one time. The rest is nothing more than a large patch of dirt with some random plants around the fence line and a large orange tree that’s probably about 50 years old. So this year, instead of planting a lawn, like most normal people would do, I decided to grow pumpkins. So I built up 4 mounds and planted a total of 4 Atlantic Giant Pumpkin Seeds, 3 Lumina White Pumpkin Seeds, and 3 Jack-o-Lantern Seeds. I was hoping to get maybe 2 giants, and maybe one each of the white and orange pumpkins. Several years back, while I was living in a condo, my best friend, April, decided I needed an “urban” garden, so she bought me, among other things, some Atlantic Giant Pumpkin seeds. I planted 2 seeds in a pot and wound up with a 98lbs pumpkin and a 108lbs pumpkin. So last week when I only had 2 giants up, April went out and bought a Big Max Pumpkin plant. I was planning to plant it on one of the mounds that did not have a plant on it. Well then some time mid-week last week I noticed that not only did all 2 of my Lumina’s and Jack-o-Lantern pumpkins come up, but 3 of the 4 Giants had come up. I thought, cool, I’ll have one spot to plant the Big Max plant that April bought.

Okay, so I come home Friday night from a short business trip and what do I find when I go out to water??? Every single seed that I planted has come up. That makes 4 Giant Atlantic Pumpkins (400lb - 500lb potential ea fruit), 3 Lumina’s, 3 Jack-o-Lanterns and 1 Big Max. The Lumina’s and Jack-o-Lanterns say that each vine should produce about a dozen or so pumpkins each, and I’m not sure about the Big Max, I need to research it. So that puts me at approx. 10 giant pumpkins, hopefully 150lb + each, and about 3 dozen Jack-o-Lanterns, and 3 dozen Lumina’s.

Oh boy, it’s going to be a pumpkin carving craze at my house this Halloween!! YEAH!!!!!
